O2 Introduces Cheaper Text and Mobile Data Charges for its UK Customers

Ahead of this years summer holiday season, O2 has made reductions for its UK customers who use their mobile phones in EU countries.

The cost of texting for prepay customers has been reduced from 49p to 25p per text, matching the rate already in place for postpay customers.

Data usage, like accessing the internet or email, will also be cheaper in EU countries. Using 1MB of data will now cost just £3, a saving of 80% for prepay customers and 57% for postpay customers versus previous charges. Two new data bundles have also been introduced for postpay consumers which can further reduce the cost to £1 per MB. These bundles are £20 for 10MB of data or £50 for 50MB of data.
