The Joggler has landed!

Today we’re extremely proud to announce a whole new first-of-its-kind device to make family life easier to manage. Introducing the O2 Joggler.

The O2 Joggler is the next evolution of the traditional family calendar. It’s a sleek, 7 inch touch screen device that replaces scribbled notes on fridge doors and helps you keep track of everything that’s going on in your family.

We know family life can be difficult to manage, which is why the O2 Joggler’s calendar can send texts to your family’s O2 mobiles to remind them of important stored events. From deadlines to appointments and birthdays – it’ll remember them all.

As well as a calendar, the Joggler has a huge range of other features and can download new ones over the air. Here’s what the O2 Joggler will come with when it launches:

• Weather – never get caught out in the rain again with updates brought to you from Sky News Weather. The O2 Joggler provides a four-day forecast for your area as well as other major global cities across the world.
• Traffic – get the latest traffic updates from Trafficmaster including the average speed of traffic on major roads. The O2 Joggler can remember the last place you looked at and centres its traffic information around this location.
• News and sports – catch the latest headlines from Sky News and Sky Sports. Headlines are refreshed throughout the day so you always have the latest information
• Photos – store and display up to 200 family photos on the internal memory (up to 1GB) or run them through a USB memory stick
• Music/ Video – play up to 100 songs or videos stored on the device memory using the O2 Joggler’s built-in speakers, or stream it through a home PC. iTunes formats are not supported.
• Games – test your brain skills with a game of Sudoku. Popping out to pick up the kids? Just touch save and carry on playing later
• Tools – use the O2 Joggler as an alarm clock or calculator

And in May we plan to add even more features:

• Messaging – the O2 Joggler will let you to send 50 text messages every month to any mobile in the UK, you can also text to the O2 Joggler from any UK mobile.
• Radio – listen to an array of pre-set internet radio stations through your O2 Joggler

The O2 Joggler goes on sale on 6 April in O2 stores and on www.o2.co.uk. It costs £149.99 or will be free if taken instead of a handset upgrade, but terms and conditions apply. You’ll also need a broadband connection (WiFi is recommended) and network coverage to get the most out of the O2 Joggler.

We’ll also be launching the O2 Calendar as a standalone free Internet service. You’ll be able to use it whatever mobile network you’re on, although it’ll only send text reminders to customers on O2’s UK network.
