Virgin Media has launched new US dramatic comedy series, Imposters, bringing it to the UK for the first time.

The new series consists of 10 one-hour long episodes, with the first four episodes now available on Virgin TV on demand, and a new episode released every week thereafter. As the first US studio Virgin TV Exclusive, Imposters takes Virgin Media’s programming in a brand new direction.

The series follows Maddie, a persona shifting con-artist who is as beautiful as she is dangerous, leaving her unwitting victims tormented when they realise they have been used and robbed of everything – including their hearts. However, things get complicated when three of her former targets (Ezra, Richard and Jules) team up to track her down.  While pursuing her newest mark, Maddie meets a potential love interest, Patrick, which threatens to derail her assignment, much to the disappointment of her mysterious boss, The Doctor. Meanwhile, the scorned trio manages to take control of their new realities, not realising that in their quest to confront her, they’ll have to face their own truths and find new versions of themselves along the way.

The much anticipated series stars Inbar Lavi (Underemployed, Gang Related) as Maddie; British actor, Rob Heaps (Home Fires, Doctors), as Ezra; Parker Young (Suburgatory, Enlisted) as Richard; Marianne Rendón as Jules; and Stephen Bishop (Being Mary Jane) as Patrick. The series also features Golden Globe®-winning actress Uma Thurman in a guest role. Uma appears as the lethal, articulate and mysterious “fixer” called Lenny Cohen.

David Bouchier, Chief Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, said: “With a gripping storyline that will seduce you with lust and laughter and then leave you yelling at the screen, we think our Full House customers are going to love Imposters.”

“But make no mistake, there’s no deception or skulduggery at play here. We’re building a strong and diverse collection of Exclusives, breaking shows into the UK for the first time, so that our customers can discover and enjoy the best TV whenever and however they want to. Keep your eyes peeled because there is a lot more to come.”

The original scripted series is produced by Universal Cable Productions with Adam Brooks (Definitely, Maybe) and Paul Adelstein (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce) serving as executive producers.

Imposters is Virgin Media’s sixth exclusive UK launch within the last 18 months, and follows in the footsteps of hugely successful box sets of Ash vs Evil Dead, Kingdom, Magic City, Billy & Billie and more recently, Full Circle. Virgin Media now boasts a bursting library of exclusive programmes – all available for Virgin ‘Full House TV’ (previously known as XL TV) TiVo customers at no extra charge.

Imposters, along with all Virgin TV Exclusives, are available on demand through the Virgin TV V6 or TiVo boxes as well as on mobile devices through the Virgin TV Anywhere app available on iOS and Android.
