We’ve just commissioned a new report from IDC’s Research Director for EMEA Enterprise, Nick McQuire. It lays out the key elements of a new ICT roadmap that embraces – rather than fears – complexity (hence ‘complexaphobe’).

The paper brings a sense of order to the critical business objectives, technology transformations and societal trends that we’re faced with. And it shows how these can be turned to the benefit of IT departments rather than being seen as challenges of ever-increasing complexity. We’ve made the whitepaper available to download here. And you can also see Nick talking through the highlights in this video:

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to be tackling each of the big topics in turn (business objectives, technology transformations and societal trends). We’ll share examples of work that we’re doing for our enterprise customers, helping them to transform the way that technology and communications can support their people and customers.

For now, we’ll leave you some words of wisdom from IDC and their summary of the steps to managing complexity: “Organisations must define clear roadmaps for consolidating complexity, enabling the business to rise above this and once again make innovation and strategic fulfilment central to ICT operations.”
