That’s right, festival season is officially here. From Balado to the Isle of Wight, hundreds of thousands of live music lovers will travel across the UK to festivals this summer. For example, did you know that over 150,000 people will travel to Glastonbury in June? Sadly, there is a downside – traffic, congestion, pollution and costly fuel can put a damper on things. Thankfully, one of our Wayra startups, goCarShare, can tackle these troubles on your behalf.
goCarShare helps you say no to empty seats. By connecting people through common social media platforms, it gives you the confidence that your passenger or driver is genuine – you might have mutual friends for example, plus you can find people with similar interests – anyone like a bit of Journey for the journey?
goCarShare joined our Wayra Academy in the 2013 cohort and they’re going big at music festivals this summer. goCarSharers will get access to priority parking at Reading, Leeds and Latitude, while at Glastonbury, goCarShare will help you arrange your return travel plans using their giant festival map.
The guys at goCarShare asked some of their musician friends to log their experiences as they goCarShared to the festivals they were performing at last summer. Check out our favourite here:
