In an incredible symphony of noise, Beardyman has captured the ‘Sounds of the 21st Century’; releasing the track for the first time today on his YouTube and SoundCloud social media channels.
A hugely ambitious project, Beardyman has mixed technological tones and sounds with the white noise of everyday life, bringing the track together accompanied by a fittingly psychedelic video. The track will be showcased for the first time at Campus Party’s opening ceremony on 2 September, the first night of Europe’s biggest technology festival.
Beardyman comments: “Our lives now exist as much online as offline, and all of the 21st century’s most significant innovations essentially make no noise and have few if any moving parts. So making a tune out of digital jitter at the bottom of the signal and the sound of fingers tapping on screens and mobiles sounded like an interesting tongue-in-cheek way of making a soundtrack to our digital lives.
“Technology is the only way to emancipate yourself. I’ve been working on my own tech I use to record and play live for about 6 years now. Now I have a system which is unrivalled in its ability to make music live, I’m bringing this to Campus Party to help showcase this track – it is going to go off!”
Campus Party will excite 5,000 people per day across Europe about the possibilities of new and emerging trends and inspire a generation of young people to look at ways to build and experience digital technology that will form the sounds of the future.
In contrast to other technology events, Campus Party is aimed at people interested in digital technology and how it is helping to define and shape modern culture and society, as well as, techpreneurs, hackers, developers, gamers and geeks. Supported by Telefónica, a massive digital skills marketplace will sit at the heart of the festival alongside 8 stages, over 100 speakers and over 500 hours of content across five action-packed days.

About Campus Party
Campus Party was founded by Paco, Belinda, Pablo and Yolanda in Malaga in 1997. These four friends were united by their passion for new technologies and wanted to create a space where others with the same interests could come together. The group was influenced by a RTVE2 television documentary about the demo parties that had just begun taking place in Northern Europe, and wanted to bring that model to Spain’s geeks. They were joined by EnRED, the youth association of Benalmadena, Spain and other friends who collaborated to bring the concept of Campus Party to life
The first Campus Party drew 250 people for the weekend, and the event quickly gained traction and a following: the number of attendees doubled for the second edition. Two years later in 1999, E3 Futura Association was founded as a non-profit organization with the objective of making technology in all its diverse forms more accessible to society as a whole, and to create forums and educational programs that promote innovation and responsible participation in digital culture. Headquartered in Madrid, the organization now has offices in Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Germany and the United States.
Since its founding, E3 Futura Association has worked to make the event accessible to more and more people globally. In each annual edition of Campus Party thousands of passionate technologists collaborate towards a common goal: to create the best educational festival focused on new technologies and the unifying power of the Internet.
Over the years the Campus Party team has grown from a few friends to a staff of over 100 in offices around the world. Each team member’s sole mission is ensuring the campuseros spend the best week of their year at Campus Party.
