We’re spinning around after listening to Kylie Minogue’s hugely anticipated 12th studio album, Kiss Me Once, which takes Centre Stage on O2 Tracks this week. Here are a few of our highlights.
Having already charted in the UK Top 10, lead single, Into the Blue, gets the record off to a corker. A classic Kylie chorus combined with an insanely catchy tune will make sure you’re humming along to this for days. Surely her best single since All the Lovers.
Kylie keeps on delighting with Feels So Good. It’s cool, airy beat works incredibly with her loveable vocals. The track’s a cover of Tom Aspaul’s Indiana and Kylie sprinkles some of her Aussie spice into the mix to turn this into one of the songs of the summer. Our pick of the album.
The Grammy winner duets with Spanish-born stud Enrique Iglesias for Beautiful. The heart-warming lyrics are delivered perfectly in a mash-up of their vocoder heavy voices and chilled out electro beat. Trust us, it works.
Kylie closes her album with one of the feel-good songs of the year in Fine. The track, co-written with long-time collaborator Karen Poole who also helped write hit singles Wow, Red blooded Woman and Chocolate, features a house/dance influenced beat to give our favourite pop princess the perfect sizzling finale.
Kylie means ‘boomerang’ in the Aboriginal language so it’s fitting that Kiss Me Once is a return to form, bringing us one of the best albums of her career to date. Don’t miss out.
