LONDON. O2 today announces that it has signed a two-year contract with high street lingerie retailer La Senza in the UK. By joining up both the fixed and mobile services, O2 has been able to drive efficiency, as well as reduce the complexity of multiple suppliers, helping reduce La Senza’s fixed line costs by around 27%.

The deal is part of La Senza’s strategy to consolidate its supplier base, particularly in ICT, which is a key operational expense for the company. Adding to its existing contract to supply mobile phones, O2 will now also provide the retailer with all phone lines, consisting of ISDN2 and ISDN30 across its network of 180 stores, three distribution centres and in its head office. O2 will also provide services to assess the efficiency of lines, remove duplication and reduce wastage.

The deal more than doubles the contract value O2 already holds with La Senza in the UK, and has resulted in La Senza signing a similar contract with O2 in Ireland.

This announcement is the latest example of O2 delivering joined-up communications solutions to help businesses drive efficiency and follows recent contract wins with G4S, Civica and Amey. By supporting senior decision makers in businesses of different sizes, across a wide range of industries and sectors, O2 has a proven track record as a trusted and helpful advisor, enabling them to adjust their operations to an ultra competitive marketplace and the ever changing needs of the workforce.

O2 began selling fixed-line phone services in February 2010, offering customers ISDN2, ISDN30, telemarketing numbers and services such as Virtual Receptionist, Queue and Hunt Group.

David Plumb, General Manager, Enterprise for O2 in the UK, said: ‘Consolidating suppliers is one of the most economical ways of ensuring that businesses operate as efficiently as possible. La Senza’s decision to join up both its fixed and mobile suppliers by expanding its relationship with O2 strengthens our position as a trusted partner and strategic advisor for our business customers. We look forward to working with them to drive efficiencies and help them improve their business operations.’

Paul Erskine, Infrastructure Manager at La Senza UK & Ireland, said: ‘O2 has been providing La Senza with our mobile communication solution for four years. When it announced that it was providing fixed lines, it was an easy decision to move our fixed line estate to O2 as well.

‘The account management team is committed and not only do they ensure that our mobile and fixed lines needs are met, they constantly strive to see if they can help in other areas of the business. As an added bonus to this we are able to show a 27% reduction on fixed line costs which is great for the business,’ added Erskine.
