As Bandofbrothers, one of our long standing members, puts it: “the Community for me is a fantastic focal point where like-minded people with a common interest in mobile phones & gadgets and the O2 network, amongst other interests, can visit to share information with people in crisis and confusion in connection to their O2 product, whether it be a hardware, software or service issue”.

It’s more than just a place to get help with your phone: “I became involved initially when I was off work with an incapacitating condition and looking for something to get interested in to help me through recovery”, says Jonsie, who’s been one of the most active members for five years. “I have met some good like-minded friends over the years, one who I consider a particularly good friend, meeting up for drinks and always there ready for a chat on the phone”.

It’s a very friendly place where our wonderful customers hang out to seek and give help. We have several regulars as well as new joiners who spend a considerable amount of their time every day helping other customers with their queries and issues and giving tips for their devices.

To show our appreciation to all those members who put their time and effort to help each other, we launched O2 Community Rewards on 1st August 2013. Rewards points are earned by participating in the community and at the end of each month members who have accrued a certain amount of points qualify for our substantial community rewards. We’ve recently given away £50, £20 and £10 line rental vouchers to our most helpful members.

The programme has been very well received by our community and we’re seeing an ever increasing number of members earning rewards each month.

You don’t need to be a “veteran” to qualify for rewards. 1980b only joined on 9th September and by the end of the month he qualified for a Silver Reward (£10 line rental voucher). “The reward came as a nice surprise, none of the other networks come close as to offering something like this, nor even having a forum as well run as this.”

The quality of the advice, suggestions and video guides produced by our community is simply impressive. Whether you’re just stuck with an app, want to know more about your phone and its features or have a complex question you can be sure someone will be able to help you.
