O2 today announces that it is extending its gaming range and will be selling the Xbox One from Thursday 5 December. The Xbox One will be bundled with the Nokia Lumia 1020, the first smartphone with a 41 megapixel lens, and will be available to both new and existing customers on O2’s revolutionary O2 Refresh tariff.
“With our new Xbox One and Nokia Lumia 1020 bundle customers will be getting one of the best consoles and one of the best camera phones in time for Christmas,” said David Johnson, General Manager Devices for O2 in the UK. “Our O2 Refresh tariff means all this technology can be cheaper than ever before, especially with O2 Recycle putting their old phone to good use too.”
Powerhouse bundle
O2’s Xbox One bundle costs £52 per month with an £99.99 upfront cost and includes an Xbox One, FIFA 14, Kinect, 12 months Xbox Live Gold subscription and a Nokia Lumia 1020 with unlimited minutes, texts and 1GB data.
The Xbox One bundle comes on O2’s revolutionary O2 Refresh tariff. O2 Refresh splits the amount a customer pays for their phone and the amount they pay for their minutes, texts and data, giving them complete transparency and control of their monthly spend.
By allowing customers to pay for their phone and airtime separately, O2 Refresh also makes it cheaper to either upgrade early by paying simply what is owed on the phone. Meanwhile customers who keep their phone for longer than 24 months will also pay less as once the phone is paid off, only the cost of minutes, texts and data remain.
Xbox One is the all-in-one entertainment system. It offers the best games, movies, music, sports and live TV and smarter, faster matchmaking on Xbox Live. It also lets you watch TV while you play a game. And with the Nokia Lumia 1020, customers will be able to take advantage of Xbox SmartGlass, which turns your device into a second screen that intelligently interacts with the Xbox One to enhance your favourite TV shows, movies, music, sports and games.
