O2 Head of Retail Marketing moves to Telefónica

O2 announced today that Becky Hughes, O2 UK Head of Retail Marketing, is to take up a new position within Telefónica SA’s Trade Marketing division. She will be working on broadband and digital TV sales in third party channels. The transfer is a secondment for an initial period of 6 months, effective 9 January 2007. Hughes joined O2 in May 2003 from The Carphone Warehouse. Mark Garrad will take her role as Head of Retail Marketing for an interim period. At the same time, Jason Duffy has been appointed as Head of Sales for Retail. Jason and Mark will both report to Paula Cave, whose appointment as General Manager of Retail was announced In November 2006. Mark Stansfeld, O2 UK Sales Director, leads the division. Telefónica SA acquired O2 in January 2006.
