O2 today announces the launch of a new iPhone app for its Priority Tickets service. The free app which is now available to download from the Apple App Store provides O2 customers with information on and the ability to buy Priority Tickets to gigs and events at The O2, O2 Academy venues and over 1,500 venues across the UK.
Priority Tickets is a key benefit for all O2 customers offering them the chance to buy tickets to their favourite artists up to 48 hours before they go on general release. Since its launch in 2007, O2 customers have had access to presales for hundreds of artists and the scheme now encompasses more than just music with Priority Tickets available to major sporting events including the ATP World Tennis Finals and NBA Europe Live.
The O2 Priority Tickets app will make it even easier for customers to keep up-to-date with the latest presales and they can even click through to purchase tickets directly from their iPhone. Customers can also set their preferences for their favourite artists, venues and cities and then get notified through the app as soon Priority Tickets are available.
‘Priority Tickets is part of the fabric of being an O2 customer. Our customers love the fact that they can buy tickets to the biggest gigs in the UK before anyone else. With this app we are making it even easier for them to have incredible experiences that they can share with the people that matter to them the most”, said Jonathan Earle, Head of Consumer Mobile at O2. ‘Having launched on the iPhone we now plan to roll out the app to other platforms including Android and WebOS.’
The Priority Tickets iPhone app is now available to download through the App Store.
