O2 have decided to honour the ‘goal that never was’ as a gesture of goodwill. All qualifying customers who took part in our O2 Goals campaign will receive an additional £5 for England’s second ‘goal’ on Sunday. Which let’s face it, was definitely in!
The O2 Goals campaign offered new O2 Pay & Go customers £5 for every goal England scored during the football in South Africa. For those who weren’t England fans, you could opt to receive £5 for every goal England conceded (unfortunately it turned out that was the better option!). All customers needed to do was order a Pay & Go football sim (Unlimited, Text & Web, Simplicity or Your Country), top up £15 or more, text GOAL or CONCEDE to 66102 and they'd receive a code to register on the o2goals.co.uk website.
After the tournament finishes customers must go online to print off and send their claim form. A cheque will then be posted to them for the full value of goals England scored (or conceded) after they registered. As we think England scored 4 goals, most customers that topped up £15 will now get £20 back, which O2 hope will give England fans a reason to smile again!
