O2 today announces it has retained the award for overall Website of the Year in the 2015 Website of the Year awards.

The Website of the Year awards are run by MetrixLab and each award category is voted on by members of the public who rate websites on their design, navigation and content. These votes saw O2.co.uk retain its title as overall Website of the Year and also come top in the Telecom category for the second year running.

Continuous improvement

After taking the title in 2014, O2’s website team has continued to make improvements to O2.co.uk which has seen customer satisfaction with the website jump four points in O2’s customer satisfaction surveys. Improvements include simplifying the checkout process from 12 to 4 steps and displaying personalised upgrade information to O2 customers as they buy. O2 has also built Click and Collect Now, allowing customers to place an order online and pick it up in a store straight away, with some customers collecting in store less than 10 minutes after they order online.

“We’re very proud that O2.co.uk has come first in the Website of the Year awards for the second year running and we thank everyone for their votes,” said Feilim Mackle, O2’s Sales and Service Director. “More than half a million customers visit our website every day and we will continue to give them the absolute best experience when they use the site.
