Simon Davis, O2’s Head of Corporate Responsibility, agrees that flexible working is an important consideration for organisations.
A government minister today has urged employers to consider allowing their staff to work from home and adopt a flexible approach to work as the country faces one of the coldest winters in a generation.
The minister also strongly denied that such an approach would be like writing a “skiver’s charter”. We agree. Far from being a “skivers’ charter”, flexible working has huge benefits for businesses: flexible workers generally perform better, have a happier work/life balance and are more engaged than their office-bound colleagues, according to an independent report commissioned by O2. The report, called ‘Tomorrow’s Workspace’, looks at how smart technology and new ways of working can create a greener and more productive working environment.
