Our latest O2 Tracks One to Watch is fresh new R&B singer / song writing talent Ella Eyre.
The soulful 19 year-old caught everyone’s attention when she collaborated with Rudimental on UK #1 smash hit, Waiting All Night in 2013. Since then she’s made a bunch of mates in the music industry, touring with Rudimental, Bastille and Naughty Boy and appearing at a number of festivals.
Ella’s career has already drawn plenty of industry fans, with nominations for the prestigious MTV New for 2014 and the Brit’s Critics Choice awards. The Brit School graduate also narrowly missed out on top spot in the BBC Sound of 2014 behind Sam Smith.
With her husky unique vocals, Ella’s on a mission to make an impact in 2014. Her first single is due out in March, followed by an album in the summer. The future looks bright for the London lass, and we can’t wait to hear more.
She says: “I’ve always wanted to hit people in the face with my music, rather than tickle them.” Give her a listen, and you’ll see what this bluesly brawler is on about.
Check out an exclusive interview and listen to her new material in the latest appcast, now available on O2 Tracks. Not got O2 Tracks yet? Text TRACKS to 61202 to get started.
