O2 UK today announces that its broadband service is gaining traction, coming out on top when rated against some of its main competitors on the thinkbroadband.com ISP comparison in November, just one month after the network provider launched the service. The poll measures key satisfaction areas for customers, including speed, reliability and customer service, asking users to score each provider. Thinkbroadband.com compares services from all the main ISPs and when compared with AOL (UK), Orange, TalkTalk Broadband, BT Broadband and Sky Broadband, O2 Broadband scored the highest in each of the three categories, with 74%, 72% and 79% for speed, reliability and customer service respectively. In a separate survey conducted by Intrepid Research, 100% of customers that switched from Orange and PlusNet thought the O2 service was “better” than their previous service. 86% of ex-AOL customers and 85% of ex-Virgin Media customers thought the same. Overall, 81% of customers questioned were very satisfied with the service and likely to recommend it to their friends. “We launched O2 Broadband with a commitment to creating an overall quality of experience that sets a new standard in the market,” said Sally Cowdry, marketing director, O2 UK. “We’re delighted that just over one month since launch independent research from experts shows that we are delivering on this promise.” Sebastien Lahtinen, Co-founder of thinkbroadband.com added, “O2 has entered a very competitive market with highly compelling services and our users have clearly indicated that they currently perform very well in all three categories against the large established operators.” O2 Broadband was launched with a simple promise to make broadband better, by addressing frustrations that have created dissatisfaction amongst consumers in the market. O2 Broadband is simple to set up and use, offers great value for money, total transparency in both pricing and service speeds and has free, UK-based 24/7 customer care. Three price plans are available for O2 Pay Monthly customers starting with the Standard Package at £7.50 per month for up for 8 meg; the Premium Package at £10 per month for up to 16 meg and the Ultimate Package at £15 per month for speeds of up to 20 meg. Non O2 Pay Monthly and non-O2 customers will pay an additional £10 per month on each of the available packages. With best plan advice, customers will only pay for the broadband package that is right for them. Prior to completing the purchase, a line check will be completed to estimate the speeds the customer can receive to ensure they are placed on the correct package. This will be checked up to 1 month later to ensure the package selected by the customer is appropriate and that they only pay for the package appropriate for the speed their line can support. -ends- To view the comparison, please visit: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/isp/compare.html?isp_3=1&isp_7=1&isp_86=1&isp_13=1&isp_21=1&isp_22=1&commit=Compare
