O2 has today announced Pay & Go top-ups, the latest service to be added to its O2 Wallet platform as part of its mission to deliver value added digital experiences for customers.

The new Pay & Go top-up service enables customers to top up any O2 Pay & Go mobile with an amount between £10 and £50 in just a few clicks or taps. It’s free for anyone to use, regardless of network and because it’s through O2 Wallet, you don’t need to worry about putting in your card details every time.

To top up, you need to register for the O2 Wallet by texting WALLET to 61202. Once set up, topping up is quick, easy and convenient. Select the ‘Pay & Go Top Up’ icon in the O2 Wallet and pick the number to top up from your phonebook. Choose an amount. Then choose which card in your O2 Wallet to pay with.

Because you pay with the cards in your O2 Wallet, there’s no messing about with vouchers, cards or codes. And if you’re using your O2 Money Account Card, you don’t need to go through any extra card verification checks. So it’s even quicker to top up safely.

James Le Brocq, Managing Director at O2 Money said: “Our future lies in becoming a trusted provider of brilliant digital experiences. Last year we started that journey with the launch of O2 Wallet which gave us the platform to start to build value added services.”

“Our customers’ needs are changing so we need to ensure we’re offering more digital solutions to make their lives easier, for example how they top up a Pay & Go mobile. This new top-up service as part of the O2 Wallet app offers a quick and easy way to add credit to an account with minimal fuss, giving you more time to spend doing the things you love.”

The Pay & Go top-up service follows on from the launch of O2 Train Travel into the O2 Wallet earlier this year, which offers a quick and easy way to plan journeys, save money and buy tickets.
