We launched our new Text & Web Pay & Go tariff today. Here’s why you should move onto it as soon as possible.

Tim Wood - Normal Hello, my name’s Tim Wood and I work for O2. I’m part of the team that launched Text & Web, the new tariff that we’ve introduced to our Pay & Go customers.

When we were looking at what new tariffs to create, we noticed that more and more customers were accessing the internet through their phone. Keeping up to date with the news, following the football scores and using your favourite social networks have got easier and easier, so it’s great to have a package that includes this. Of course, we know our O2 customers love to text so including some texts in the allowance made good sense too.

To get the most out of Text & Web, you’d usually need to top up £30 a month – this would get you both unlimited allowances. However if you join the tariff before 31 October, you’ll get unlimited texts and unlimited web access when you top up just £15 a month.

Although the unlimited data package that comes with Text & Web has an excessive usage policy, it doesn’t have a set download limit. That means updating your Facebook status over and over again won’t be a problem, however constantly downloading movies through your phone may breach the excessive usage policy.

We hope Text & Web will appeal to people who really live their life online – we’ll be putting to the test over the next few days, so watch out for that. If you’re already with O2 Pay & Go, you can move to Text & Web by calling 2202 for free or texting “TEXTANDWEB” to 21300. You can also get Text & Web sims from your nearest O2 store or online at http://freesim.o2.co.uk/.

If you’ve signed up to Text & Web, we’d love to hear from you – leave us a comment with how you’re getting on.
