O2 has made the wish of the country’s biggest Disney superfan come true – naming her the UK’s first customer to have access to Disney+ from O2.

O2 customer, Amanda Lennard and her husband Adam, from Portsmouth, have spent over seven years amassing the UK’s biggest Disney collection which includes Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars memorabilia. To reward them for their long-term super-fandom, O2 has crowned Amanda its first customer in the country to have access to the streaming service, providing access to 500 films, more than 350 series and a slate of 26 exclusive Disney+ Originals at launch.

O2, the exclusive UK mobile network distributor of Disney+, gifted the ultimate superfan who has visited Disneyland Paris nine times, the opportunity to experience Disney+ wherever she wants, including access on mobile, online streaming and TV.

O2 has provided Amanda with a brand-new smartphone and twelve-months Disney+ membership so she can enjoy Disney’s iconic animated films, Marvel’s cinematic universe and hundreds of episodes of The Simpsons wherever she pleases.

Disney+ offers fans of all ages a new way to experience the unparalleled content from Disney’s iconic entertainment brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. This includes the highly anticipated series “The Mandalorian,” from executive producer and writer Jon Favreau, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” and over 600 episodes of “The Simpsons,” available on demand in one place for the first time.

Subscribers can enjoy the Disney+ experience across mobile and connected TV devices, including gaming consoles, streaming media players, and smart TVs.  With Disney+ customers can create up to seven different user profiles, with multiple downloads on up to 10 devices, Subscribers will also be able to enjoy commercial-free viewing and stream across four screens.  Furthermore, the service also provides parental control functionality in the form of Kids Profiles that enable a child-friendly way to access age-appropriate content.

Disney+ is available on O2 through O2 extras. O2 extras is available to new and upgrading O2 Pay Monthly customers on handset, tablet and SIM only contracts. Using the My O2 platform customers on eligible tariffs can choose from a range of extras covering areas such as music, video, meditation, books and audiobooks.
