Fresh faced from celebrating our first birthday, the O2 Tracks party continues with Shakira’s brand new self-titled album and a special Mother’s Day playlist to set you up for the week ahead.
Shakira explodes on to our Centre Stage playlist with her brand new self-titled 10th studio album. Having already reached the Top 20 in the UK Charts, her saucy collaboration with brand new BFF Rihanna on Can’t Remember to Forget You, is one of the album highlights. There’s lots more. Read our review here.
Later in the week we’ve got a dedicated Mother’s Day playlist on Centre Stage featuring a mix of mum themed tracks including 2pac’s Hey Mama, Spice Girls’ Mama and Christina Aguilera’s Oh Mother.
You’ll be Livin’ La Vida Loca with Ricky Martin on Your Playlist as we roll back to our Millennium Era hits. Joining the party is pop princess Britney Spears who shows she never learns from her mistakes with Oops I Did It Again. Dane Bowers and Posh Spice join True Steppers on Outta Ya Mind and Artful Dodger’s Re Rewind completes the playlist.
Ja Rule is staying as punctual as ever on our R&B playlist with Always on Time and R Kelly’s serving something hot and fresh out of the kitchen with home-cooked hit Ignition (remix). Just chill, for Dr Dre’s classic Next Episode in the mix, plus Shaggy, who’s pleading his innocence in It Wasn’t Me. We don’t fancy his chances personally.
For rock fans we’ve got the Red Hot Chilli Peppers hit By the Way lined up alongside Lenny Kravitz’s Fly Away and Alien Ant Farm’s rocking riff heavy cover of Michael Jackson’s classic Smooth Criminal.
Ready to throw a few shapes? Our Dance playlist is perfect. Armand Van Helden’s classic You Don’t Know Me features alongside Phats & Small with Turn Around. If you’re having trouble sleeping, Faithless have the antidote with their 2005 smash-hit Insomnia.
We’ve also got an exclusive competition to win tickets to watch Katy Perry on her Prismatic Tour at The O2 on 30 May. See app for full details.
