We’ve announced the launch of a brand new Travel app featuring content from TripAdvisor.
Available on both iOS and Android devices, the free app gives customers access to city guides and maps to help customers make the most of their European breaks.
Through the new app, customers can sign up for the O2 Travel tariff which enables them to use data in Europe without having to worry about costs, or having to rely on access to WiFi networks. The app includes access to travel content from TripAdvisor with useful information about tourist attractions, hotels and restaurants, and the opinions of millions of travellers. It also allows content to be downloaded direct to devices so that holidaymakers can consult it in offline mode without having to be connected to a data network.
Through the newly upgraded O2 Travel tariff, Pay Monthly customers will be charged £1.99 per day for the days they use data in Europe. Customers will be able to check in on Foursquare, keep in touch with friends on Facebook and keep an eye on news sites as they would at home, all without the worry of returning to big bills. Pay & Go customers get access to 50MB of data a day through the O2 Travel tariff and after this they can reset their daily allowance for a further £1.99.
