This sturdy little tripod holds most phones including Android favourites like the HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S. Ideal for getting clear, sharp photos using a tripod will also enable you to use timer functions for cracking self-portraits or good group shots.
2. PicSay

PicSay is a great photo editor for your Android phone with features such as colour correction, image cropping and the ability to add text and special effects to your photos. There’s also a PicSay Pro version which adds red-eye removal and more advanced effects like cross-processing.

3. FxCamera

FxCamera is another great option for adding effects to your photos. The results range from a Polaroid-style effect to Fisheye and a nifty little ToyCam effect.
4. Adobe PhotoShop Express
£free from the Android Market
From the folks who brought you Photoshop, here comes PhotoShop Express, a mobile-friendly version of the full-fat photo editing package which gives you the ability to crop, rotate and apply effects to images. It’s a great tool for making quick changes but not as powerful as some alternatives.
5. Snap Photo Pro
£0.61 from the Android Market
The final of our four favourite Android photo apps, Snap Photo Pro packs has some handy features not found in the others including a timer, burst mode, brightness and contrast adjustment and a range of different zoom features. This app is a great one for super-charging the camera that comes with your Android phone.
