Getting up to five devices online together whilst out and about just got far easier, with the new Pay & Go O2 Pocket Hotspot.
Launched today, the clever little wallet-sized gizmo takes its O2 mobile broadband 3G connection and shares it securely over wifi using 802.11 b/g/n with your laptops, tablets, cameras or even games consoles, wherever you go.
And using your connected gadgets on the move has never been more flexible, thanks to the Pay & Go tariffs available, so you can buy what you need, when you need it, without a lengthy contract. The Pocket Hotspot iteself costs £59.99, then all you need to to is decide how much data you’d like – 1GB for £10.21 or 2GB for just £15.32, each with a 30-day term, or you can opt to pay daily, getting 200MB for £2.04.
It’s come along at just the right time for London-based workers too, 4 million of whom will be staying at home to work at some point during this summer’s extra-busy period. But avoiding the office no longer means being holed-up at home – with the O2 Pocket Hotspot, you could venture out and work at speeds of up to 21.6Mbps in the park, a coffee bar or at the bottom of the garden – that’s if the sun ever shows up…
