It’s the question the world wants an answer to. It’s at the tip of the international community’s tongue and it’s going to be answered by Friday. Just which Angry Bird is the best in the world?

Just imagine – you’re playing Angry Birds and have just one bird left to crack that difficult level. Which bird would it be? The turbo-boosting yellow bird? The three-in-one blue bird? Is the all purpose red bird the one for you or are you actually a fan of the pigs?

That’s what we want to know: what’s the planet’s favourite Angry Bird? We’re holding a vote from now till midday Friday 10 December (UK time) and we’ll announce the results in time for Angry Birds Day on Saturday 11 December.

Want to vote? Here’s what you need to do:

  • O2 Blog: To vote here, leave us a comment below with your choice
  • Text: to vote by text, send a message to 60600 with the word ANGRY followed by RED, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, BLACK, WHITE or PIG. Texts will cost the standard network rate and is only available in the UK.
  • Twitter: to tweet their choice, voters should write a tweet with their vote and include the hashtag #angrybirdso2. Tweets without this hashtag will not be counted.
  • Facebook: Facebookers can vote by visiting http://www.facebook.com/o2uk and hitting Like on the picture of their bird.

You can also support your favourite bird (or pig!) with a Twibbon on Facebook or Twitter – just choose one of the following links:

We’re running the worldwide search to coincide with our Angry Birds iPhone 4 cases going on sale in O2 stores and on http://www.o2.co.uk/angrybirds.

Angry Birds iPhone 4 cases, made by Gear4

Made by our friends at Gear4, they’re available in Red Bird, Yellow Bird and Green Pig and will help keep your iPhone 4 safe even from flying animals. We’ll also give one away to someone who votes Red Bird, Yellow Bird and Pig after the competition closes.

Good luck everyone – may the best bird (or pig) win!
