Christmas-at-the-o2With Christmas little over a month away, it's time to start planning the perfect festive season, and with O2 you'll be in for a treat. We've got loads of brilliant events and things to do at The O2 over Christmas – join us after the break to plan your perfect Christmas.

Music
The O2 is a great venue to visit over Christmas, with loads to do and see. First up, we'd recommend checking out a gig, and Rihanna is playing right up until the 22nd December. More into Indie? Kasabian are playing the 14th and 15th December, with the Manic Street Preachers following up on the 17th December.

Based in the docklands, it's worth making a day out of your trip to The O2, however, rather than turning up at the last minute.

While you're at The O2, you'd be mad not to check in on the British Music Experience – an exhibition dedicated to everything we love about popular music.

From Trad Jazz to pure Pop, whatever your taste in music, you can get up close to original handwritten lyrics, famous outfits, instruments and other amazing personal artefacts from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Sex Pistols, Culture Club, Motorhead, Stone Roses, The Spice Girls, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse and 100's more.

Restaurants and bars
Once you're there, and in the mood for music, the chances are you'll be feeling a bit peckish. Thankfully, there are loads of great restaurants and eateries at The O2 – with the Carve Up particularly recommended for lovers of meat.

Choose from oven roasted turkey, house cooked porchetta or cured salt beef in soft pretzel bread with a piquant dollop of mustard aioli. All carved hot to order these skyscraping snacks are guaranteed to satisfy the biggest appetite… especially when served with their herb rubbed oven potatoes or some crisps on the side.

Vegetarian? No worries – check out the Harvester Salad and Grill. And, if neither of these whet your appetite, you'll be able to choose from loads of other popular locations, including the Slug and Lettuce, TGI Friday's, Nando's and Las Iguanas.

Once you've eaten, it's off to the gig, but alcohol or soft-drink lovers among you won't have to stop there. You'll be able to get drinks throughout from our Becks Vier Bar and Two Degrees Bar, with an excellent choice of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks on offer.

Feeling in need of a bit of exclusivity? Why not head to their O2 blueroom – a VIP bar for O2 customers. You'll have to text BLUEROOM to 60202 before the visit, where you'll get an exclusive mobile ticket for entry. Enjoy the cocktails!
