• O2’s Rolling Plan gives customers the option to set up monthly recurring payments for data, minutes and texts without being committed to a contract
  • The new plans are launching with deals that give customers more data and international minutes for less, with plans starting at £10 for 25GB data until 28th December*
  • Rolling Plan customers can enjoy all the benefits O2 provides including access to Priority, Data Rollover and inclusive EU Roaming (up to 25GB)

13th October 2022: O2 is today announcing the launch of Rolling Plan, giving those who need added flexibility the ability to pay monthly for their data and minutes without committing to a long-term contract.

A hybrid between the Pay As You Go and Pay Monthly options that O2 currently offers customers, Rolling Plan provides a contract-free option to get data, texts and minutes. Customers will be able to set up recurring payments, which effectively top up their phone for them every month, without the hassle of needing to do this manually.

Customers can change data and international minute allowances to suit their needs and usage, or cancel the plan at any time, providing peace of mind to those wanting to mould their phone plan around their lifestyle and budget month to month. Similarly, if customers use all their data allowance early, they’ll be able to buy a new monthly plan to start at any time, allowing them to switch their package when it suits them.

Rolling Plan is now available for new or existing customers and include even more data and international minutes than other O2 prepay options, with deals announced for the launch starting at 25GB for just £10 a month.

Customers will also get the benefits of being an O2 customer, including access to Priority, which gives exclusive access to the hottest events at O2 venues as well as a range of deals and offers, and free roaming in the EU. Data rollover will also be available on the Rolling Plan, so that customers can rollover any unused data over into the next month.

Commenting on the new offering, Gareth Turpin, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Media O2 said:

“At the time of a cost-of-living crisis we know some people are looking for more flexibility, which is why we’ve created Rolling Plan. For those not wanting to commit to a fixed-term contract or having to top up a Pay As You Go SIM each month, these plans allow customers to only pay for the data and minutes they need in a way that suits them best. It’s the ultimate hassle-free mobile plan for those that just want to keep things basic.”

Rolling Plan will be launching with the following promotional offers which will be available until 28th December:

  • £10 for 25GB per month and unlimited calls and minutes (Usually is 10GB)
  • £15 for 70GB per month and unlimited calls and minutes (Usually is 25GB)
  • £30 for 200GB per month and unlimited calls and minutes (Usually is 150GB)

O2’s Rolling Plan are now available to browse and purchase online or in store with more information available here.

*This number refers to data at the point during the promotion period. After the promotion period this will return to £10 for 10GB
