**London, UK/ Los Angeles, USA (4th May, 2018)**– David Thewlis (Fargo, Harry Potter), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones, 24: Live Another Day), Guy Barnet (Couterpart, Pitch Perfect 3) and Nina Toussaint White (Uncle, EastEnders) are all confirmed to star in Studio Lambert’s psychological thriller The Feed for Amazon Prime Video, Liberty Global and all3media international. Created by showrunner Channing Powell (The Walking Dead), the series is based on the recently published novel by Nick Clark Windo. The series will launch globally next year.
The first season of 10 x 60’ is set in London in the near future and centres on the British family of Lawrence Hatfield (David Thewlis), the man who invented an omnipresent technology called The Feed. Implanted into nearly everyone’s brain, The Feed enables people to share information, emotions and memories instantly. But when things start to go wrong and users become murderous, the family is driven apart as they struggle to control the monster they have unleashed.
Lawrence Hatfield’s wife Meredith (Michelle Fairley) is the CEO of the powerful global mega-company which runs The Feed. Her first-born son, Tom Hatfield (Guy Barnet) was the subject of his father’s early experiments on inserting the neural mesh that connects people to The Feed. Being his father’s guinea pig has come at a cost to their relationship and Tom is reluctant to use the seductive technology. Tom is married to Kate (Nina Toussaint White), a young American who shares Tom’s wariness to being constantly ‘on’. When the young couple give birth to a baby daughter it coincides to changes to The Feed that will have dramatic consequences for the family and the whole world. nn
> We’re delighted that such amazing high profile talent as David and Michelle have agreed to star in what we believe will be a much-talked about global series next year, says” Studio Lambert chief executive, Stephen Lambert. “The Feed is all about our relationship with technology and we believe it will resonate with many viewers. Having Guy and Nina as the young couple at the heart of the show is very exciting as we believe technology-savy younger viewers will identify with them and their dramatic story.”
The Feed will begin filming in the UK this month. It will be available next year on Amazon Prime Video in the USA, Canada and Latin America, in Liberty Global’s international platforms including Virgin Media in the UK, and all3media international are the international sales partner.nn
> Bouchier, Chief Digital Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media said: The subject-matter of The Feed could not be more relevant in the light of recent events and we are very fortunate to have attracted a world-renowned cast and creative team to this UK production. Filming will start imminently and Virgin TV customers are in for a treat when The Feed hits their screens next year.
