This Friday (September 28) is the conclusion of the World Boxing Super Series Middleweight Division which will see George Groves take on Callum Smith with the fight live on Virgin TV through ITV Box Office.

The all-English fight will also see Groves put his WBS ‘Super’ world title on the line against the undefeated Smith at the 10,000-capacity Indoor Sports Hall at King Abdullah Sports City in Saudi Arabia. Both fighters will also have extra incentive on the night with the Muhammad Ali Trophy, WBC Diamond and Ring Magazine belts also up for grabs for the winner of the fight.

In terms of how both fighters reached the final, Groves successfully defended his world title against Chris Eubank Junior in the semi-final – this despite dislocating his shoulder in the final round – with Smith defeating Nieky Holzken on points in his semi-final encounter.

On the undercard, there is plenty on offer. Chris Eubank Jnr will take on Irishman JJ McDonagh which is set to be an explosive encounter. The other match will see Zuhayr Al-Qahtani fighting in his native country for the first time when he takes on Giorgi Gviniashvili of Georgia.
