Virgin Media O2 is teaming up with Netflix to bring Stranger Things to the high street, with an immersive pop-up experience at eight O2 stores across the UK including, Edinburgh, Manchester and London starting from now and running until January.
Stranger Things fans can step into iconic scenes from the show, including Joyce’s living room, as O2 transforms eight of its flagship stores to bring Hawkins to life. In the stores, visitors can step back into the 1980s through immersive zones filled with nostalgic touchpoints – from posing on the famous Byers’ sofa beneath the alphabet wall to taking part in an interactive quiz that sees the room light up with every correct answer. Fans can relive their favourite moments with a retro wall phone playing iconic lines, a boombox pumping out 80s hits, and even test their gaming skills on Dig Dug. A themed coffee table will also feature a vintage viewfinder and calendar revealing key Season 5 dates for eagle eyed fans.
The partnership, which is a telecoms industry exclusive, goes beyond the unique in-store experience, offering Virgin Media broadband and O2 customers the chance to access the latest series like never before, and follows Virgin Media recently updating its bundle line up so that all TV bundles and broadband only packages with M500 or above now include Netflix as standard and at no extra cost.
