Virgin Media is stepping up its fight against cybercrime, providing customers with a major upgrade to its Advanced Security service through the introduction of a new ‘ID Protection’ feature.
Advanced Security offers comprehensive protection for an unlimited number of devices, both at home and on the go, and is available to Virgin Media broadband customers for £35 annually or £3.50 a month – significantly cheaper than alternative providers.
Over the past year, Advanced Security has been boosted to strengthen protection against a rising tide of cyber scams, and thanks to its robust security system, Virgin Media’s Advanced Security, has successfully prevented*:
- 131.5 million unsafe or harmful websites from being accessed.
- 346,204 viruses, malware, and spyware threats through advanced virus protection.
- 4.1 million banking and shopping sessions from being intercepted, enabling safer online transactions
