- Virgin Media O2 has added three new Rakuten TV FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channels to its TV service, providing customers with an even wider array of entertainment all in one place, at no extra cost.
- All channels are visible in Virgin Media’s TV guide and searchable via voice control, ensuring they are quick and easy to find.
- The new channels launching today are Rakuten TV Drama, Rakuten TV Comedy and Rakuten TV Sci-FI.
- Virgin TV customers now have access to 40 FAST channels including British Screen Classics, Inside Crime and U&Transport.
- The entertainment upgrade will automatically be added to Virgin TV 360 and Flex, with no need for customers to take action.
Virgin Media O2 launches three brand-new FAST channels, giving customers access to even more entertainment at their fingertips – at no extra cost.
Available to Virgin TV customers directly via their set-top box, the brand-new channels offer viewers 24/7 access to binge-worthy TV favourites, including:
- Rakuten TV Drama (Ch462): Customers can enjoy popular movies including The Big Short, Gosford Park and JFK.
- Rakuten TV Comedy (Ch463): From Big Momma’s House to The Internship and Bedazzled, viewers can sit back and enjoy beloved comedies.
- Rakuten TV: Sci Fi (Ch464): From The Fountain to Predestination there’s a whole other world for customers to discover with the Sci-Fi channel.
Virgin TV customers can also dive into hundreds of TV shows episodes and movies on demand via the Rakuten TV app – at no extra cost – which is accessible via the Virgin TV app store.

The new additions to Virgin Media’s TV line up can be found on the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) and come as part of the company’s expanding FAST channel offering, providing an alternative and complimentary experience to traditional linear TV.
