Ahead of the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards on Sunday 8th May, Virgin Media has mapped the iconic locations for the six Must-See Moment nominations from Adele’s school in London to Gwrych Castle in Wales where I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is filmed through an innovative online tool.

Using Virgin Media’s TV Mapper, TV fans can discover some of the iconic locations at the heart of Virgin Media’s Must-See Moment nominations at the 2022 British Academy Television Awards.

This includes Chestnut Grove School in Balham, London where Adele went to school with Ms McDonald her inspiring English teacher, to Daejeon in South Korea where shooting took place for ‘Red Light, Green Light’ in Squid Game.

It also includes Gwrych Castle in Wales, where I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is filmed and is where Ant and Dec dig at Downing Street’s lockdown parties – or people can go visit 10 Downing Street, where the parties took place.

Other locations include Old Wentworth high school in Eccles, Manchester where filming took place for Colin’s devastating AIDS diagnosis in It’s A Sin and in the same city is Manchester Studios where filming for Bimini’s verse for ‘UK Hun?’ took place.

Virgin Media’s TV Mapper is a first-of-its-kind tool that allows TV fans to find where their favourite shows are filmed.

It allows all of us to go and walk in the footsteps of our favourite TV shows or characters, meaning that we can get even closer to the iconic Virgin Media Must-see Moment – whether that’s Adele’s school in London or walking the grounds of Gwrych Castle in Wales where I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is filmed.”

The updated TV Mapper tool comes as new research from Virgin Media reveals more than half of the nation (51%) admit watching TV has educated them more than any other platform in recent years. Nearly two thirds (62%) think watching TV is a good way to spend quality time with their family or loved ones, and 57% admit it sparks important conversations around societal issues.

The most watched categories across the UK include the South East watching the most Drama (55%), the South West the most Comedy (48%), the East Midlands the most News (43%), Wales the most Sport (32%), and Londoners the most International Television (19%). On average, four hours of TV is consumed each day, with Saturdays the most likely day to watch the most.

Virgin Media’s online tool, TV Mapper, allows users to search for a host of popular TV shows by genre or region to help plan the ultimate fan route and follow in the footsteps of their favourite characters, virtually or in person.

The winner of the Virgin Media Must-See Moment will be announced during the Virgin Media BAFTA TV Awards on 8th May 2022 at 6pm on BBC One. This year marks Richard Ayoade’s third consecutive year as host as the red carpet event returns to London’s Royal Festival Hall.
