Have you been to The O2 yet? In 2008 more than 1.8m of us did, making it the most popular music arena in the world!
Outselling the Manchester Evening News arena, Wembley Arena and Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena combined isn’t an easy task, but thanks to all the fantastic acts who performed there this year, The O2’s done it. So whether you came to see the Spice Girls, the Eagles, Kylie Minogue, Coldplay or one of the other acts, thank you!
The total number of tickets sold in 2008 was 1,806,447, half a million more than the second place arena, Madison Square Garden. 1,806,447 is a huge amount of people, so think of it this way. If 1.8m tickets to The O2 were laid end to end they’d stretch over 150 miles – enough to go from The O2 in London all the way to Cardiff!
