Chill out, get down and rock out as Air, Plan B, New Young Pony Club, Calvin Harris, Simian Mobile Disco and Digitalism get set for a sizzling summer at the Leeds O2 Wireless Festival 2007. Now in its second year the festival with style is back for 2007. From June 15th – 17th the Leeds O2 Wireless Festival 2007 will be heading back to Leed’s Harewood House for three days of sensational live music and the line-up just keeps getting bigger and better. Joining the White Stripes on June 15th will be the ‘Sexy Boys’ from Air. Filling the atmosphere with their melodic sounds the French duo will take to the 2nd stage at Harewood House. With their recent album release ‘Pocket Symphony’, and having just embarked on a European tour, Air will bring a chilled out vibe to Leeds this summer. Also over from the US, The Films, The Little Ones and Wolverhampton lads Ripchord will be joining Kaiser Chiefs on June 17th to rock out Harewood House. On June 17th East London rapper, Plan B will bring his unique acoustic beats and controversial lyrics to the main stage. With a new album in the mix and one-off live tracks continually posted on his myspace site the local lad will show off his unmistakable sound. On the same day the 2nd stage will play host to Modular Records artists and will see performances from some of the most exciting young talent around. First up is possibly one of the hottest bands around, New Young Pony Club. After wowing the masses on the ShockWaves NME ‘indie rave’ tour and selling out their London warm up dates in less than a day, the five-piece London band have an album out on June 4th and are sure to impress. Joining them will be Calvin Harris. The Scottish electronic musician recently reached number 10 in the charts with his single ‘Acceptable In The 80s’ and is currently supporting British dance band Faithless on their upcoming UK tour. The 2nd stage will also be home to remix team, Simian Mobile Disco. The duo will be releasing their first album on June 4th and are sure to show why ‘It’s The Beat’ this summer. Last up will be German electric duo Digitalism, having remixed tracks for headliners Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy and many others. Their debut album ‘Idealism’ will be released on May 21st and will prove that they have their fingers firmly on ‘The Pulse’ Now in its third year the O2 Wireless Festival has firmly stamped its mark on the festival map. Last year saw the launch of the festival in Leeds, and both return for 2007, bringing the event back to two of the UK’s most cosmopolitan cities. This year, for the first time, it will be happy campers all round as the O2 Wireless Festival 2007 will allow camping in the grounds of the spectacular Harewood House.
