2014 is shaping up to be a scintillating year for music and to celebrate, we’re bringing you exclusive O2 Tracks appcasts from the hottest new talents, kicking off with indie-pop venture, Bipolar Sunshine.
Bipolar Sunshine is the solo project of Adio Marchant, who you may remember as the vocalist in Kid British. He released his debut EP Aesthetics in 2013, and has gone from strength to strength supporting the likes of The Wanted and Taylor Swift on tour.
The name ‘Bipolar Sunshine’ comes from the music Marchant produces. Tracks like Rivers and Fire from his EP contain a juxtaposition of a happy melody with sad lyrics. The fusion between the two creates an emotional rollercoaster of an experience for the listener. Check out his acoustic version of Fire to hear for yourself.
Bipolar Sunshine created buzz when ‘Rivers’ was the iTunes free single of the week in July and again when he teamed up with Rudimental to create a track within 24 hours as part of the Bacardi Beginnings challenge.
Check out an exclusive interview and listen to his new material in the latest O2 Tracks appcast which is now available.
