Our latest O2 Tracks One to Watch – singer-songwriter, Nick Mulvey.

The Cambridge born crooner is no stranger to music having been a founding member of Mercury-nominated jazz band, Portico Quartet for a number of years but he decided to leave the group and focus on a solo career, penning his first EP, Fever to the Form last year.

Mulveys unique free flowing style is a breath of fresh air for the music scene. Having a degree in music from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and studying idols such as Bob Dylan and Nick Drake has influenced his style. Think Jose Gonzales mixed with African inspired rhythms and you’re halfway there.

Zane Lowe is a bit of fan. And so are we. The 26 year-old has already gained recognition by being named in the BBC Sound of 2014 long list as well as touring with British folk sensation Laura Marling.

His latest single, Cucurucu is released on 3 March. We don’t really know what a Cucurucu is but it sounds bloomin marvellous.

Check out an exclusive interview and listen to Nick’s new material in the latest O2 Tracks appcast which is now available.
