Telefonica UK has been successfully audited against the ISO 27001 standard which sets out the requirements to identify, manage and minimise the risks which may threaten its business information. The standard ensures the selection of adequate and proportionate controls and gives confidence to its customers and partners to protect their information.

With a high focus on the security of customer information, Telefonica UK has adopted an Information Security Management System to ensure that all the customer information stored, processed and transmitted is secure.

Our Customers trust us to protect their personal information and our ISO27001 certification is at the centre of this commitment. It allows us to demonstrate best practice in information security and our desire to ensure we adapt and develop our security capabilities to protect customer information against new and emerging threats.

The certificate runs until 2015 and will be regularly assessed by independent external auditors to demonstrate Telefonica UK’s commitment to continually improve the way they protect their assets and customer information.
