David Melcon
David Melcon is Chief Financial Officer of Virgin Media O2, a role held since April 2026.
As a member of the Executive Team, he is responsible for the company’s financial strategy, performance and planning, overseeing functions including treasury, tax, procurement, investor engagement and corporate finance.
Before joining VMO2, David served as CFO of Vivo (Telefônica Brasil) from 2016–2026, where he led major transformation programmes and M&A transactions, including the integrations of GVT and Oi’s mobile assets. He also drove restructuring initiatives, innovative financing programmes and the development of a high-performing finance organisation, earning recognition as one of Latin America’s leading CFOs.
Earlier in his career, David held a range of senior finance and strategy roles across Telefónica in Europe and Latin America, building extensive experience in M&A, business transformation, corporate governance and investor relations.
