Virgin Media O2 has announced that Glasgow native, Lewis Capaldi, is returning to his hometown to perform an exclusive gig on Wednesday 7 June.

Taking place at O2 Academy Glasgow, the intimate show will offer a unique opportunity for fans to see the hugely popular singer perform in his native Scotland. Before his meteoric rise to global fame, Lewis Capaldi last played at the venue in 2019.

The show will take place shortly after the release of his eagerly anticipated second album ‘Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent’, due to be released on 19 May.

The rare, intimate performance also comes at a time when Lewis Capaldi is in the middle of a sold-out worldwide tour playing to hundreds of thousands all over the world.

There are more than 900 pairs of tickets up for grabs, with the gig available exclusively for Virgin Media broadband and O2 mobile customers through Priority.

The prize draw is open now and will close on Monday 22 May. This can be accessed via the Priority app or website.

Priority is O2’s way of saying thanks to its customers. In addition to early ticket access to thousands of events every year at The O2, the O2 Academy network and other popular venues across the UK, Priority members can benefit from queue jump, cloakroom services and phone charging.

Please note, that at O2 Academy Glasgow only one small bag per person is permitted, and it must not be bigger than A4. Full details here. Large bags, including rucksacks, are not allowed and there are no facilities to leave any luggage so please make alternative arrangements.

To celebrate the launch of Lewis Capaldi’s second album, Virgin Media and O2 customers can also secure a £5 discount when purchasing the new album thanks to Priority. To access this amazing offer, visit here.

Lewis Capaldi fans should keep an eye on the Priority app as more prizes and exclusive offers are set to go live over the coming weeks.

Lewis Capaldi, commenting on the exclusive Priority gig, said: “I’m very excited to be going back home to play at an intimate venue that’s so important to me. I really appreciate O2 for having me and making this show happen exclusively through Priority – I can’t wait to see some of you there!”

Gareth Griffiths, Director of Partnerships and Sponsorship at Virgin Media O2, said: “Priority gigs are our way of giving O2 and Virgin Media customers incredible access in an intimate setting to the biggest music stars in the world. We are so excited to be able to bring Lewis Capaldi to O2 Academy Glasgow in what is set to be an unforgettable performance, with access to tickets only available through Priority.”
