O2 ranked as best value mobile provider with customers able to save £700 per year in profitable perks

O2 has been named the best mobile provider in the UK for customer perks, with customers able to secure savings of up to £700 over a 24-month period according to new research from Uswitch.

The consumer body, which compared all SIM only deals available in the UK from major mobile phone providers, found that O2 came out on top for customer perks with more than £400 in savings compared to Three in the runners up spot.

With a  huge range of deals spanning from weekly, monthly and one-off perks, such as  a free Gregg’s coffee and sausage roll every week to three months free Apple TV and Peloton subscriptions, O2 customers can benefit from a host of extra value included within their mobile plan.

The majority of these deals are available through Priority, O2’s way of saying thanks to its customers, which is available exclusively to those with an O2 plan or Virgin Media broadband services. Priority  provides access to a variety of great offers from high street brands, must-have tickets and experiences, as well as access to the best in entertainment.

In total, according to Uswitch’s data the value of all O2 perks amounts to £2,135.67 over 24 months, meaning that O2 customers could be bagging a net saving of £699.23 thanks to the perks and rewards included within their plan.

O2’s SIM only deals also offer incredible value, with the added perks included in selected tariffs providing more overall value than the cost of the plan itself. For example, O2 is currently offering a 4GB SIM only tariff for just £4 per month, with the added perks equating to £1,102.44 over a 2-year period.

Uswitch ranked major UK mobile network providers based on the profitable perks available to their customers over the length of their contract. O2 topped the poll with customers always guaranteed, over the length of their contract, to receive extra value from the perks on offer.
