• To celebrate England making it to the quarter-finals, O2 is extending its roaming benefit for eligible pay monthly customers travelling to the USA in support of the Three Lions.
  • The extended offering means pay monthly Classic Plan customers can now roam freely in the USA until midnight on 20th July (PT) alongside Volt customers or those with a Plus Plan or Ultimate Plan, potentially saving them £7 per day for the cost of a travel bolt-on.
  • The offer builds on O2’s status as the only major UK operator to include EU roaming as standard up, and at no extra cost, to 25GB across all plans.

Ahead of England’s quarter-final match against Norway at the Miami Stadium this Saturday, O2 is giving footy fans another reason to celebrate, with roaming in the USA courtesy of O2 until the end of the tournament.

From now until midnight (PT) on 20th July, eligible O2 customers travelling to the USA will be able to use their mobile data, courtesy of O2, helping them to stay connected and share their holiday highlights with friends and family back home.

Customers on a pay monthly Classic Plan simply need to log into their MyO2 account and activate the O2 Travel Bolt On (£7 per day) or buy a data bolt-on (1GB, 3GB or 5GB), and O2 will automatically credit back the cost of the bolt on from 6th July – 20th July 2026.

The gesture builds on O2’s leading position in offering inclusive EU roaming as standard across all plans, and the operator’s commitment to keeping its customers connected in the moments that matter most.

Lutz Schüler, CEO of Virgin Media O2, said: “Whether travelling in Europe or heading across the Pond, we’re now giving our customers one less thing to worry about this summer by crediting back roaming charges in the USA for the remainder of the tournament. From cheering their team on from the stands or sharing the excitement with friends and family back home, our customers can focus on the scoreline, not roaming charges, with the freedom, connectivity and confidence to make every moment count.”

Fans supporting from home can also enjoy a free hot drink from Greggs through Priority from O2. Available the morning after England matches, the offer helps supporters recover from those late nights and early mornings spent following the action from different time zones. Customers can redeem their free hot drink in Greggs stores nationwide from 8am until 11am via the Priority app.

O2 is the only major UK network to offer its customers inclusive EU roaming as standard and at no extra cost, up to 25GB.
