Virgin Media O2 boosts its WiFi guarantee to 30Mbps at no extra cost

• Market-leading guarantee promises minimum download speeds of 30Mbps in every room or £100 back – the UK’s fastest WiFi guarantee of all major broadband providers

• Virgin Media’s WiFi guarantee is included at no extra cost in Gig 1 broadband and Volt bundles, or can be added to M50-M500 packages for £8 per month

From today (Friday 21^st July) Virgin Media O2 is upgrading its WiFi guarantee to offer its customers minimum download speeds of 30Mbps in every room of their home or £100 credit back.  

Previously promising minimum download speeds of 20Mbps, Virgin Media customers can now benefit from a boost for the same price, with an enhanced promise of 30Mbps in every room or money back – the fastest WiFi guarantee of any major provider in the UK.

The upgraded speed promise is available to all new and existing customers who take Virgin Media’s WiFi guarantee, with no need for existing customers to reboot their Hub or take any action for the updated minimum speed to apply.

Should customers see their download speeds drop to below 30Mbps, they can, if required, request up to three WiFi Pods at no extra cost to help boost the connectivity around their home. And if they’re still not receiving 30Mbps or more, Virgin Media will add £100 credit to their next bill.

Virgin Media’s market-leading WiFi guarantee is included in Gig 1 broadband and all Volt bundles at no extra cost, offering customers even more value and reassurance. Existing customers currently on M50 to M500 Fibre packages (without Volt) can add the guarantee for £8 a month.

Virgin Media’s enhanced WiFi guarantee covers even the hardest to reach areas of the home and is backed up by signal-boosting mesh WiFi Pods (if needed) and Virgin Media’s Intelligent WiFi service to give customers complete confidence in their connectivity.
