• Virgin Media’s Bigger + Sports bundle with Sky Sports channels in HD costs just £76 per month and includes all Sky Sports and BT Sport channels – £319 cheaper than Sky and £157 cheaper than BT over the duration of the contract
  • Virgin Media provides a stress-free way for football fans to watch Premier League, English Football League, UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches on Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime Video, all in one place
  • Virgin Media bundles come loaded with ultrafast connectivity – perfect for streaming matches around the home

Virgin Media remains the true home of televised football with fans able to net a saving of up to £319 over 18 months compared to Sky and BT bundles.

This season, only selected Premier League matches will be televised in a change to last year when all Premier League matches were shown live on TV as games were played without fans.

It means that there will be 200 Premier League matches shown live on TV this season, shared between Sky, BT Sport and Amazon Prime Video. Sky will show the first televised match of the season between Brentford and Arsenal on Friday 13 August at 8pm.

With televised matches split between multiple broadcasters, it can be confusing and costly for football fans to select the right bundle.

However, on like-for-like bundles, which include TV, broadband and landline services, Virgin Media is the cheapest option for consumers – saving them £319 over Sky and £157 over BT across 18 months.

Virgin Media’s Bigger + Sport bundle with Sky Sports channels in HD, priced at £76 per month, offers the convenience of single billing and the ability to watch all Sky Sports and BT Sport channels – including its dedicated 4K BT Sport Ultimate channel – on Virgin Media’s powerful V6 set top box or latest Virgin TV 360 service.

Virgin TV also boasts the Amazon Prime Video app and, with average download speeds of 213Mbps as part of the Bigger + Sports bundle, fans can stream both rounds of Premier League matches in December with ease via their set top box, all controlled by one remote.

These ultrafast broadband speeds mean that families can also stream matches on multiple devices throughout the home using Virgin TV Go.

David Bouchier, Chief TV & Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, said: “With the return of selected televised Premier League matches this season, it is more important than ever that football fans sign up for the right bundle to suit their matchday needs. Once more, Virgin TV is top of the table when it comes to being the cheapest and most convenient place to watch all of next season’s action so come and join us for what is set to be another great year of live sport.”
