Virgin Media Business today announced it is powering up hundreds of businesses in Sheffield and Leeds by bringing its ultrafast Voom Fibre connectivity, which offers download speeds of up to 350Mbps, to the city centres.
According to Ofcom, the median broadband speed in Sheffield is 15.4Mbps and 20.3Mbps in Leeds. This upgrade will deliver entry-level speeds more than 17 times faster than the cities medians to businesses in the areas, opening them up to new business opportunities and growth potential.
Voom Fibre, which offers ultrafast download speeds of up to 350Mbps as standard, was launched by Sir Richard Branson on 2 May with prices starting from £30 per month. Businesses can choose a variety of upload speeds depending on their requirements.
