Tackling the digital divide

Around two million households in the UK struggle to afford their mobile service, and 8.5 million adults lack the most basic digital skills.*

We’re committed to creating a more connected country, where everyone can access the connectivity, skills and support they need.

By the end of 2030, we will:

  • support 500,000 low-income households with connectivity that meets their essential needs
  • support 6 million people to navigate the online world with confidence

We work with industry peers, civil society and government to help more people access devices, stay connected, build digital skills and stay safe online.
