Many devices and network technologies are discarded before the end of their usable life, increasing electronic waste and putting pressure on the world’s finite resources.

Our approach

Technology has a lifecycle that extends beyond first use. We are keeping devices in use for longer through repair, refurbishment, reuse and recycling.

As well as making it easier for customers to trade in and recycle their devices responsibly, we also ensure our network infrastructure is recovered and recycled at end of life – reducing waste and taking a more circular approach to technology.

Targets and ambitions

Be the trusted provider for twice as many customers seeking high-quality refurbished devices by 2030

Enable twice as many customers to trade in and recycle their unused devices by 2030

Champion a reuse culture in 30 cities by 2030, shaping mechanisms so that tech stays in use for longer

Our Priorities

This lifecycle is brought to life through four clear priorities, each focused on where we can make the greatest impact and all underpinned by specific targets so we can hold ourselves to account.
